INITIATION: UWSU Dragons

In my ongoing pursuit of masculinity, I made vital links between myself and the university rugby team last year. This year, it paid off, and I was asked to doccument their Initiation of the first years into the Dragons. I had attended events of this nature before and knew what great feats of contrived masculinity I could witness or take advantage of. Despite being unused to working in a doccumentary style (or indeed working outside with unposed subjects) I decided to oblige. I ended up impressing myself with my technical prowess, and by that I mean being organised enough to bring all the right bits for my flash head and even spare batteries for it.
Hundreds of pictures emerged, but what I present to you here is a selection of those approved by the team and what I deemed facebook-worthy.

Some of these images I find absolutely captivating, and I have marked them out by presenting them here at a larger size than the others. I noticed that there is one boy who I have taken more pictures of than any other, probably because he fulfils my aesthetic ideals of youth and muscle.
